COVID-19 news and updates

Updated as at 05 January 2022

Since 1997, UK Pub Co. has arranged live-in hospitality jobs and accommodation for excited travellers headed to the UK and while recent world events may have impacted travel plans, we are happy to report that our UK pub partners are now back open for business.

We have had numerous conversations from pubs asking for staff. This is your time to get those working holiday plans back on track.

Currently all restrictions in the UK have been lifted, with the exception of masks needed on public transport in cities such as London.

Flights (and “travel corridors”) to the UK

As of October 4th 2021, the UK changed their previous traffic light entry system to a more simple process. If you are arriving from a country that is not on the red list (this includes Australia, New Zealand and Canada), you will be exempt from home isolation if you are fully vaccinated by an approved vaccination scheme.

You will however need to take a PCR test upon arrival in the UK and isolate until you get your negative result. The isolation can be undertaken at a nearby airport hotel.

If you are not fully vaccinated, you will need to arrange home isolation for a period of 10 days prior to starting your employment.

If you are travelling from a country on the red list, hotel quarantining is required.

We have advised our working holiday makers to be mindful of the flight route in which they intend to travel to the UK. At this stage, the overwhelming majority of participants are travelling through Hong Kong and Singapore which are on the green list as nominated by the UK Government.

Full details of entry requirements can be found online on the UK Government Website.

Naturally, the team is watching this list daily, and in continuous contact with various airline representatives. We encourage you to speak with our team about flight options.

We continue to monitor and evaluate the situation so that you can resume plans for a Working Holiday, start earning and having the time of your life!

If you would like to know more about a working holiday with UK Pub Co. and have a concern about travelling to the UK, please email us on and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
